The Bugle Call: Song of War, a fantasy manga by Mozuku Sora and Higoro Tōmori, is set to receive a television anime adaptation in 2027. The anime will be produced by CyberAgent's CA Soa studio, with Shinya Watada directing and Michiro Tsuchiya scripting. Michinori Chiba will design the characters, and Hitomi Kotō will compose the music. Hiroshi Arisawa will handle the action animation, Kanetake Ebikawa will provide concept design, and Takayuki Yanase will design the props. Shirogumi will be responsible for the CG animation. Viz Media publishes the series in English, describing the story as a tale of Luca, a bugler in a mercenary company who becomes a muse of massacre after being marked as one of the enigmatic Branch-hexed and gifted with the ability to see the sound of his instrument. The manga, launched in Shueisha's Jump SQ. magazine in June 2022, moved to the seasonal Jump SQ. RISE magazine in April 2026. Shueisha has stated that the manga is headed toward its final battle, with the 13th compiled book volume released on February 4. Viz Media released the sixth volume in English on April 7.
